I am starting a new Tumblr! Introducing Celeb-A-Day!
At some point a few months ago I decided to pull a bunch of of the celebrity shots I have taken over the last few years off my website, Driven By Boredom. When it was all said and done I realized I had over 300 of them and I had this idea that starting January first I would upload one a day, every day, for a full year. Right now I have about 330 and I figure by the end of the year I should have around 365 and if I don’t I can always start counting DJ’s as celebrities if I have to.
I am not a big star fucker or anything and I sort of despise celebrity culture but I have noticed that when I post celebs on Tumblr they get a lot of traffic so I figured this would be a fun way to promote my website and see if I am dedicated enough to actually post every single day for a year. Let’s see how it goes.
I am going to start this project off with my friend Noah Scalin who is probably the least famous person I will post about during this project but I thought he was important to start with. Noah created the blog Skull-A-Day where he made a skull every day for a year. It was an insanely impressive project that has inspired me and people everywhere to take on a 365 project. Plus he was on Martha Stewart so that is some serious celeb cred.
I will start tomorrow with a slightly more legit celebrity than Noah, but Noah is an amazing artist and if anyone should be famous he should. See you guys tomorrow!
